Project Location – Western Athabasca Basin, Saskatchewan, Canada:
Winter 2024 Drill Program:
The Winter 2024 Drill Program in the Western Athabasca Basin in Saskatchewan, Canada included collecting and analyzing 53 samples, with detailed testing done at the Geoanalytical Laboratory in Saskatoon. All blanks and standards returned results within expected statistical norms.
Clay alteration samples were analyzed using Short Wavelength Infrared Reflectance to confirm the clay species. The results identified significant clay minerals like illite, chlorite, dickite, kaolinite, and dravite, all of which are crucial indicators of hydrothermal alteration found in uranium deposits. The presence of illite and dravite in the system indicates potential for new discoveries in the area.
The analysis revealed anomalous uranium enrichment in several intervals within the clay alteration zones along the K and H-target zones. The highest uranium content was found in hole EP0058, indicating promising results for future exploration efforts.
The identification and expansion of clay alteration halos in the East Preston Project are seen as significant, as they could lead to major uranium discoveries similar to known deposits in the region. The exploration focus is now on areas that show potential for high-grade uranium mineralization.
East Preston Targets:
The primary target areas on the East Preston Project are the conductive corridors identified as A-G Trend and K-H-Q Trend. These areas present high potential for discovering basement-hosted unconformity uranium deposits, similar to other significant deposits in the region.
Hydrothermal alteration, anomalous radioactivity, and elevated uranium content have been observed in the structurally disrupted conductor zones on the property, indicating strong mineralization potential.
Permitting and Community Relations:
Azincourt has obtained permits for exploration activities at the East Preston property and is committed to maintaining a close working relationship with local communities. The company aims to address any potential concerns and ensure the local communities benefit from the project through various initiatives.
About East Preston:
Skyharbour Resources Ltd. and Dixie Gold have partnered with Azincourt on the East Preston Project, which has shown promising exploration results. The presence of high-grade uranium mineralization and multiple conductive corridors make it a strategic investment for uranium exploration.
The goal of Skyharbour is to maximize shareholder value through new mineral discoveries and strategic partnerships in favorable jurisdictions, positioning the company well in the improving uranium market.
