After nearly a year of renovations, Equity Residential is thrilled to announce the unveiling of the newly redesigned plaza. Designed by GGLO of Seattle, the reimagined plaza honors the original Harbor Steps plaza’s aesthetic while introducing modern elements to enhance the overall experience. Surrounding the four high-rise towers of Harbor Steps Apartments, which boast 761 residential units, the plaza now features redesigned fountains, ample bench seating, 350% more landscaped planters filled with native and adaptable plant species, and new wayfinding and interpretive signage. Sustainability was a key focus in the renovation, with features like LED lighting, energy-efficient fountain pumps, water-efficient irrigation systems, and renewable materials contributing to the project’s eco-friendly design.
Now, visitors can enjoy a vibrant entertainment and shopping experience within the plaza’s 30,000 square feet of retail space. From indoor and outdoor dining options at restaurants like La Pergola, Dough Zone, and Starbucks, to unique shops like Dogtopia and Ligne Roset, there’s something for everyone to explore. The complex also offers commercial office space for businesses looking for a prime location in the heart of the city.
To celebrate the grand re-opening, join us on July 23, 2024, on The Steps for a ribbon-cutting ceremony at 12:00 pm PDT.
