Welcome to our latest update on the ongoing conflict in Gaza. Israeli forces have intensified their operations in the Shejaia neighborhood of northern Gaza and also expanded their control in Rafah in the south, resulting in casualties and destruction of homes, according to residents.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu reiterated his commitment to achieving victory in the fight against Hamas during a cabinet meeting on Sunday. He outlined key objectives, including eliminating Hamas, ensuring the safety of Israeli residents, and preventing future threats from Gaza.
Meanwhile, violence extended to the West Bank, with reports of casualties in Tulkarm. The armed wing of Hamas released a video showcasing their weapons-making capabilities, underscoring their determination to continue the fight.
The Israeli military reported significant findings during their operations in Shejaia, including the discovery of weapons and intelligence documents in a school. They also uncovered a “terrorist war room” in a clinic, accusing Hamas of using civilian structures for military purposes.
Despite months of conflict, ceasefire efforts have stalled, with both sides holding firm on their demands. The toll on civilians in Gaza has been devastating, with thousands of casualties and widespread destruction.
Israeli tanks advanced further into Rafah, resulting in casualties and damage to a prominent mosque. The military operations in the city are aimed at targeting Hamas militants.
As the conflict continues, the humanitarian situation in Gaza remains dire. Our thoughts are with all those affected by the violence, and we urge for a peaceful resolution to end the suffering.
