Tech mogul Mike Lynch, renowned in the British tech industry, is currently missing after a severe storm hit their luxurious superyacht, the Bayesian, while off the coast of Sicily. The news of this tragic event was reported by Reuters.
Sadly, Lynch’s 18-year-old daughter is also missing, while his wife and 14 others managed to survive. This incident occurred in the early hours of Monday when a waterspout struck the area near Palermo, where the British-flagged yacht was anchored.
The lavish 56-meter Bayesian yacht, which normally costs around $215,000 per week to rent, was carrying a total of 22 passengers when the calamity struck. Rescue operations are currently in progress as Italian authorities work tirelessly to locate the missing individuals.
