Mark Zuckerberg, the CEO of Meta, has reached a staggering net worth of $206 billion, making him the second richest person in the world according to Bloomberg’s Billionaires Index.

Since founding Facebook in 2004, Zuckerberg has accrued a 13% stake in Meta, the parent company of Facebook, WhatsApp, Instagram, and Threads. Meta has been heavily investing in artificial intelligence, showcasing Zuckerberg’s forward-thinking approach.

In 2024 alone, Zuckerberg saw his net worth skyrocket by $78 billion. As reported by Barrons, Meta’s shares have surged by approximately 65% this year.

“Advances in AI across platforms like Facebook and Instagram are continuously enhancing user experience and driving engagement,” Zuckerberg stated in August. He also advocated for open-source AI in a letter published on Facebook in July.

Zuckerberg has edged past Jeff Bezos, the founder of Amazon, to claim the second position on the list with a net worth of $205 billion. However, he still trails behind Elon Musk, the world’s richest person with a net worth of $256 billion, as per Bloomberg.
