Mark Zuckerberg’s vision for AI is not just a single chatbot like OpenAI’s ChatGPT or Anthropic’s Claude; he envisions as many chatbots as there are Meta users, each with unique personalities and likenesses.
During the 2024 SIGGRAPH conference, Zuckerberg discussed Meta’s new AI studio with Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang. The AI studio, released to U.S. users on the same day, allows anyone to create an AI chatbot modeled after themselves or a fictional character without the need for coding.
Zuckerberg stated, “We want to empower all the people who use our products to basically create agents for themselves.”
The chatbots created through the AI studio can be used across Instagram, Messenger, Whatsapp, and the web. Meta also provides a handbook to guide interested creators through the process.
Huang expressed his excitement about creator AI, calling it a “home run idea,” and emphasized that the power to create AI now extends to the millions of small businesses using Meta’s products.
Zuckerberg envisions custom AI chatbots as a way for small businesses and creators to engage more personally with their communities. The AI personalities are trained to represent the businesses effectively.

Meta’s AI studio features bots like GreenThumbGuru, offering gardening tips, and The Sassy Psychic Priscilla, known for providing straightforward advice. Emotional support has been one of the top use cases for Meta AI so far.
Zuckerberg highlights the importance of diverse AI personalities, stating, “It’s all part of this bigger view we have that there shouldn’t just be one big AI.”
Zoom CEO Eric Yuan shares a similar vision for AI, aiming to have an AI version of himself attend meetings, act as a personal assistant, and summarize meetings. Custom AI bots have the potential to revolutionize the workweek and increase efficiency.
